Prison inmates are an interesting bunch. Many of them got off to a rough start in life. Many of them were hyper kids. And almost all of them have very strong personalities. Prison inmates are some of the most passionate people you will ever meet. That’s what got them into prison in the first place. All that energy and passion and those strong personalities.
But you don’t kill strong horses. You train them. Because strong horses become the very best horses.
Prisoners being passionate and hyper and energetic is not a curse. It is an overlooked blessing.
Imagine just how powerful it could be when prison inmates start aiming all their strong and passionate personality traits in good directions.
They will become world changers. Our meetings are about that. Not just helping people to heal. Not just helping people to outgrow the bad things they were often born into or did in their past.
But awakening a vast and powerful resource that has been overlooked for far too long. There are 1.8 million inmates in the United States.
And many of those are some of the most energetic and passionate people you will ever meet. God loves them. And he wants them helped. But beyond this they also possess the potential strong personality traits to do wonderful things and help change this earth for good.
Burn Bright has for nearly a decade been developing a multi-teired series of meetings of various intensities and with various focus depending upon the opportunities and need. There are 1 day meetings, 4 day meetings and in the future we would like to deploy advanced 7 day meetings with a comprehensive long term plans for those who attend to partner up with local churches and local volunteers so they can continue to grow and develop far beyond just the meetings. Current recidivism rates are at 83%, that means 83% of released prison inmates will be re-arrested within 10 years. And many of those who re-offend go on to do worse crimes than before. We’ve got to do something. Burn Bright is doing what we can to change that.
