The truth is that prison is full of children who had messed up childhoods.

They were often beaten. Screamed at. Ignored. Abandoned.

The correctional system is said to be about re-habilitation. But how can you re-habilitate people who were never habilitated in the first place?

Those who grew up without anyone to teach them how to be kind, or patient, or how to deal with anger, or balance a check book or tell the truth?

Children seldom remember what their parents tell them to do but they never fail to imitate their example. The real reason so many children go in the wrong directions is because the parents are going in the wrong directions themselves.

How can we fix it? How can we change this?

Together we must break the cycle. God is using Burn Bright to encourage others and help teach them how to heal, break the cycle and live better lives with practical Spirit-led gospel teaching that is easy to understand and hard to forget. Multi-day meetings are held which change the lives of many who come to them.

But we need your help so that we can hold more meetings and reach more people. Meetings take time and resources. A single prison often has 2000 inmates. That means just one more meeting can make a huge difference. And God knows these lost souls are worth it.
